Consent and waivers

Collect versioned consent with drawn e-sign at booking, store signatures on the client ledger, and download PDFs — Professional and Studio.

Consent and waivers let you require a signed agreement before a booking completes. Clients read your template, confirm acknowledgements, type their name, and draw a signature in the booking widget. You keep a versioned record on the client ledger and can download a PDF anytime.

Set up a waiver

  1. Open Waivers in Hollow Reserve and create a template from a vertical preset (or write your own).
  2. Note the template slug (for example tattoo_liability).
  3. Open Blueprints, edit a draft Experience Blueprint, and open the intake stage.
  4. Enter required waiver slugs as a comma-separated list that matches your template slug.
  5. Publish the blueprint.

Only blueprints that list a slug require that waiver. You can leave slugs blank for simple appointments that do not need a signed consent step.

What clients see

When a published blueprint requires waivers, the storefront booking widget adds a Consent step after Schedule. Clients read the agreement, check required acknowledgements, type their full legal name, and draw a signature before Confirm.

Versioning

Publishing a new version deactivates the previous active version for that slug. New bookings use the active version. Signatures already collected keep an immutable snapshot of the text the client signed — older PDFs do not change when you publish an update.

Staff review and PDF

  • Open Clients → Client detail to see signed waivers with template name, version, and signed time
  • Download PDF for a printable copy of the snapshot, acknowledgements, and signature
  • Latest intake answers appear on the same client page when the booking included intake fields

Shopify Flow (Studio)

On Studio, a waiver-signed Flow trigger fires when a required consent waiver is signed at booking. Use it for internal tags or staff alerts alongside appointment-booked and intake-submitted.
