Connect Klaviyo
Send Hollow Reserve journey events to Klaviyo so you can build client email and SMS flows.
Hollow Reserve can emit track events to Klaviyo when clients book, pay deposits, complete appointments, or finish an Experience Blueprint. Reserve does not replace Klaviyo as your ESP — you build flows in Klaviyo; Reserve sends the trigger events.
Setup steps
- In Klaviyo, open Settings → API keys and create a private API key with Events write access.
- In Hollow Reserve, open Settings → Klaviyo monitoring.
- Paste the private API key and save.
- Enable Sync Hollow Reserve journey events to Klaviyo.
- Book a test appointment on your storefront (use an email you can find in Klaviyo).
- In Klaviyo, open the client profile and confirm Hollow Reserve: Appointment Booked appears (or Deposit Paid when deposits are required).
Shared API key on the same store
The Klaviyo API key is stored per Shopify shop. When Arcanum Engine or Hollow Sentinel is installed on the same store, one saved key works across apps — Engine sends commerce playbook events; Reserve sends booking journey events; Sentinel monitors Klaviyo volume.
Resend confirmations vs Klaviyo flows
Starter and above can send plain booking confirmation emails via Resend when you connect email in Settings. Klaviyo is additive — use it for branded sequences, segments, and multi-step nurture. Many merchants keep Resend for instant confirmation and Klaviyo for reminders and rebook campaigns.
