Icons and badges
Service badges, sale badges, and icon treatments used across Studio Arcana.
Badges and icons highlight shipping, booking, materials, or promotions. Prefer theme badge settings and product tags over one-off images when possible.
Sales channels > Online Store > Themes > Customize > product or collection sections > badge / icon settings
Product and service badges
- Sale / sold out — driven by Shopify price and inventory state
- Service badges — trust or duration cues on type:service products when the buy box enables them
- Custom badge text — section or metafield-driven labels where the theme exposes them
Icons
- Inline SVG icons inherit currentColor from the color scheme.
- Avoid low-contrast icons on busy photography — add a solid chip behind the icon if needed.
- Decorative icons should be aria-hidden; informative icons need accessible text.
How to check it worked
- Put a product on sale — the sale badge should appear on cards and PDP.
- Open a service product — service badges appear when enabled in the buy box.
- Toggle color scheme on the section — badge text should remain readable.
