Ritual builder setup

Configure the Ritual builder section so each card adds a complete treatment bundle to cart and optionally links to booking.

Use Ritual builder when you want each card to represent a complete service flow (primary step, optional add-on, optional aftercare) with one-click add to cart.

What this section does

  • Shows a grid of ritual cards.
  • Each card can add up to three products to cart in one submit: Product (primary), Add-on product (optional), Recommended product (optional).
  • Updates the on-page ritual summary and step tracker when visitors focus or hover cards.
  • Supports an optional booking link per card.

Setup steps (Theme editor)

  1. Open Online Store → Themes → Customize.
  2. Go to the template where you want it (usually home page or a service landing page).
  3. Click Add section → Ritual builder.
  4. In section settings, set: Heading and subheading; Step labels (for the 3-step tracker); Summary heading and empty-state copy.
  5. Add one or more Ritual step blocks (vertical presets ship with 2–3 demo blocks you can wire to products).
  6. For each block, choose at least one product in: Product; (Optional) Add-on product; (Optional) Recommended product.
  7. Optional per block: Customize title, note, and CTA button label; Add Booking URL and Booking label; Enable Show service note if you want a note field added to the first line item.
  8. Save and test on storefront.

Important requirement (why it may look broken)

If a block has no selected products, the card intentionally shows placeholder text and does not submit a real bundle. To make a card fully functional, assign at least one product in block settings.

Recommended merchandising pattern

  • Primary product: the main treatment/service product.
  • Add-on product: upsell or enhancement that is commonly paired.
  • Recommended product: post-care or maintenance item.
  • Keep block quantity at 1 unless you have a specific bundle quantity use case.

Booking integration tips

  • Use the block-level Booking URL for direct external booking links.
  • Keep the booking CTA short (for example: Book this ritual).
  • If you already use global booking behavior in other sections, keep naming consistent so customers are not confused.

Quick verification checklist

  1. Card renders product names in the bullet list.
  2. Clicking Add ritual bundle to cart adds the expected items.
  3. Summary panel updates when a card receives focus/hover.
  4. Step tracker highlights the relevant steps for that card.
  5. Booking link opens the expected destination (if configured).
