Theme settings overview
How Studio Arcana organizes Theme settings and section controls in the editor.
Open the theme editor from Sales channels → Online Store → Themes → Customize. Global controls live under Theme settings (gear icon); each section has its own settings panel.
Sales channels > Online Store > Themes > Customize > Theme settings
Theme settings groups
Groups appear in this order so design comes first, then commerce and operations:
- Theme — brand name, logo, favicon, content width, dark mode toggle
- Character — Refined vs Bold feel for headings, buttons, and card shadow
- Colors and Color schemes — storewide palette and per-band schemes
- Typography — heading and body fonts
- Shape and spacing — corner radii, padding sizes, spacing density
- Motion — intensity, scroll reveals, page transitions, decorative options
- Galleries — default image mask
- Cart and Booking — drawer vs page cart, Reserve or external booking
- Age gate, Analytics, SEO, Launch checklist
Section setting order
Section and block settings follow a consistent order so the most common choices appear first:
- Content — headings, body copy, and other text
- Data source — products, collections, menus, metaobjects
- Actions and links — buttons, URLs, booking links
- Layout — columns, alignment, height
- Media — images and video
- Colors — color schemes and overlays
- Spacing — padding and dividers
- Advanced behavior — motion, progressive reveal, and other power-user options
Small sections may skip group headings to keep the panel short. Advanced options stay available; they are listed later rather than removed.
Defaults and upgrades
- Saved setting values keep working across updates.
- Setting IDs are not renamed casually — only labels, help text, and order change unless a release notes a deliberate default change.
- Vertical presets (Hair, Spa, Tattoo, Beauty) bake sensible homepage defaults; you can still override every control.
Troubleshooting
- Cannot find a control — check Theme settings (gear) vs the selected section in the left rail.
- Change does not appear — save, then hard-refresh the preview; password-protected stores need Theme Editor Preview for scripts to load.
- Use the Launch checklist group for a prioritized go-live list.
