Theme settings: SEO
Turn on LocalBusiness and product structured data, and set service-area fields for search.
Theme settings → SEO structured data controls optional JSON-LD the theme can output. Shopify and apps may also emit markup — turn off theme Product JSON-LD if another app already owns Product schema.
Sales channels > Online Store > Themes > Customize > Theme settings > SEO
What you can enable
- LocalBusiness JSON-LD — name, address, and hours when configured
- Product JSON-LD on product templates — offers for retail; services omit cart-style InStock claims
- Service JSON-LD on type:service products — price range and booking channel without misleading inventory labels
- Service area served and opening hours — free-text fields consumed by structured data when LocalBusiness / Service markup is on
Defaults and limits
- Review stars appear only when reviews.rating and reviews.rating_count metafields are valid.
- Theme structured data does not replace Google Business Profile or your SEO app.
- Keep NAP (name, address, phone) consistent with your Locations / Local trust content.
How to check it worked
- Enable the toggles you need and save.
- View page source on home and a product — look for application/ld+json scripts from the theme.
- Paste a URL into Google’s Rich Results Test after the store is publicly reachable (password off).
Troubleshooting
- Duplicate Product schema — disable theme Product JSON-LD or the app’s Product markup, not both.
- No LocalBusiness — confirm address fields and the LocalBusiness toggle.
- Password page — search tools cannot crawl until the storefront password is off or you use a preview URL they accept.
