Email and forms
Newsletter signup, contact forms, and footer email blocks in Studio Arcana.
Studio Arcana uses Shopify customer forms for newsletter signup and contact. Marketing apps can still inject app blocks in the footer or product templates.
Sales channels > Online Store > Themes > Customize > Footer or Newsletter / Contact sections
Newsletter
- Footer or dedicated Newsletter section — email field + submit
- Success and error messages come from theme locales; keep them clear and short
- Subscribers appear under Shopify Customers / marketing consent depending on your shop settings
Contact forms
- Use a Contact page template with the contact form section.
- Required fields should stay marked; do not remove labels for a cleaner look.
- Spam — Shopify’s form handling applies; for heavier spam, use an app.
Email apps
Klaviyo, Mailchimp, and similar apps often provide an app block. Add it where App block surfaces documents allow (footer, product, cart). Disable the native newsletter if you only want the app form.
Accessibility
- Every input needs a visible label.
- Error text must be associated with the field, not color-only.
- Submit buttons need accessible names (not icon-only without aria-label).
Troubleshooting
- Submit does nothing — check browser console for blocked scripts; password preview can affect some marketing pixels.
- Emails not arriving — confirm Shopify notification settings and spam folder; contact form emails go to the shop owner address.
- Double signup UI — remove either the theme newsletter or the app block.
