Keep your storefront fast
Simple Theme Editor settings that protect speed without developer jargon.
When you finish, your homepage stays quick on mobile: light motion, no extra scroll libraries unless you want them.
Recommended defaults
Online Store → Themes → Customize → Theme settings → Motion
- Set Motion intensity to Subtle.
- Set Magnetic CTAs to Off.
- Set Smooth momentum scroll to Off.
- Set Default page transition to None (or Fade if you want a soft cross-fade).
- Keep Media pulse Off unless you need it on Video/Testimonials.
- Use compressed hero images (and a poster if you use hero video).
How to check it worked
- Homepage loads cleanly on a phone — hero appears quickly.
- Turn Animations off in the storefront utility toggle — heavy motion stops.
- Ask your implementer to run Lighthouse on home, product, and cart after publish (targets: LCP under 2.5s, CLS under 0.1).
